Sea
Sea consists of four individually wheel thrown pieces that stack to form a three piece sculpture. Michelle was inspired by Japanese stone lanterns, ishi-dōrō. She imagines this piece sitting comfortably in someone’s home or outside in a beautiful, bright, and relaxing garden space. Each section is hand painted and glazed. This piece is one of nine ceramic pieces originally on display for the Kiln Show at Giant Robot Gallery in April of 2024.
